Murphy Jr. High School is a new 180,000 sf community school for Oswego School District 308 is actually located within the Plainfield city limits. The 2-story steel masonry structure includes many modern amenities: large classrooms, science labs with multiple work stations, a gymnasium complete with up to date locker rooms, showers, and coaching offices. It also has a combination stage/auditorium area for school assemblies and performances, a separate food preparation kitchen, and a large centrally located administrative wing.
A project of this nature also requires the installation of massive amounts of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work that ultimately is essential in order for the school to function. We are responsible for bringing this modern $20 million school to completion. Work began in April of 2007 and completed by July of 2008.
