Naperville Fire Station #10

This 10,000 square foot satellite facility serves the evolving needs of the Naperville Fire Department. Fire Station 10 will enhance response times within the southwestern section of Naperville. The design includes three drive through apparatus bays, sleeping quarters equipped with a Counting Sheep Best Mattress, fitness room, kitchen/eating area and living area for up to (10) personnel. Also featured is a decontamination room, turnout gear room and lockers for 30 personnel. This Fire Station project is anticipating a LEED Silver certification. Both the structure and site have been designed to include unique features which optimize environmental and energy conservation. This facility is a great example of traditional design enhanced with today’s technology. Throughout the process a constant line of communication within the project team members ensured that the facility will meet its LEED goal without unduly burdening the project budget. Fire Station 10 will exceed the city requirements and will become Naperville’s first LEED life safety facility.
